Laminating

Film lamination helps your products keep their great look longer. Whether the media involved is standard or large-format, Coyne Graphic Finishing can add the protective properties of lamination in one of three main styles:

Single-sided laminating offers ample surface protection for projects such as book covers and pocket folders, but less rigidity than other laminating styles.

Sealed edge laminating is the preferred application where protection from moisture or weather is necessary, such as menus or outdoor displays. This double-sided lamination retains a laminate border on all sides.

Flush cut also applies laminate to both sides of the substrate, offering additional protection and rigidity. A flush-cut piece will have the edges trimmed.

Film laminate is available in several different finishes to meet a variety of uses. Finishes include:

• Clear polyester, which is high-gloss, durable and offers the most scratch resistance
• Satin polyester, which provides a medium-gloss finish with excellent color consistency
• Matte-finish polyester, which is low-gloss, durable and great for readability
• Textured films are also available to lend projects a distinctive appearance and feel
