It’s Not Too Early to Plan Calendars
It may only be July, but now is the perfect time to begin planning your 2007 calendars. At Coyne Graphic Finishing, we offer several calendar binding and finishing solutions that are ideal for a variety of calendar designs. Here are a few:
Desk and Tabletop Calendars
Calendars designed for placement on desks or tables can take several forms. For example, a large-format, padded desk calendar can be film laminated for extra protection from daily use. Wire-O bound tabletop calendars can include an easel for self-standing. Coyne Graphic Finishing can perform end-to-end production of these and many other desk and tabletop calendar styles.
Wall Calendars
Daily and monthly wall calendars typically consist of several sheets and a cover, and require a sturdy binding and hanging solution. Large-format, Wire-O bound wall calendars benefit from the insertion of a wire hanger inserted between the wire binding elements. A punched hanging hole is sufficient for lighter wall calendars.
Calendar Tinning
Some wall calendars consist of only a single large sheet, which isn’t sufficient for mechanical binding and often not thick enough for punching. Tinning is one solution, and Coyne is one of the few places where this service is available. Tinning involves applying a strip of tin at the top and bottom of a single sheet (or a set of a few sheets), allowing the product to hang flat and resist curling.

Planning Tip – Calendar tin must be specially-ordered in pre-cut lengths for your project. This will extend the production schedule for your tinned calendars, so plan accordingly.
